How much younger will I look after a facelift?
A facelift or face and neck lift is a procedure that treats the lower half of the face and neck. It improves contour of the jawline improving jowling, submental fullness, lax skin, and face/neck wrinkles.
If you are wondering how many years younger you may look after a facelift, the answer is that it depends. The type of facelift performed may provide a more youthful appearance and it also depends what age you are and your anatomy at the time of the facelift.

Broken nose or nasal bone fracture and rhinoplasty
Trauma to the nose can lead to a broken nose or nasal bone fracture. Typically, if there is a crooked nose or nasal airway obstruction, a closed reduction of the nasal bone fracture is necessary. This is a straightforward surgery without incisions where the nasal bones are moved back into position. This is similar to when a boxer has a fractured nose and the trainer cracks the nose back into position in the ring. We just do it a little more humanely in the operating room under anesthesia.
However, shifting the nasal bones only may not completely correct the deviation to the nose. Sometimes the cartilage follows with the bones but at other times the cartilage moves back to the deviated position. At this point (3-6 months after the close reduction), it may be necessary to perform a more formal rhinoplasty or nose surgery.

Dog Bite to Face
I have dealt with many traumatic dog bites to the face repairing noses, lips, ears, and cheeks. Recently, Kyle Dyer, a news anchor was filming a live segment about a dog that was rescued from an icy lake when she got too close and was bit on the lower lip. She required surgical repair of this injury. See the video here.
I repair many of these bites but the the most important factor here is prevention. Never bring your face close to a dog’s face - especially one you do not know. You would not invade a human’s private space like this and I must assume a dog must feel the same with a stranger. It’s important to repair these bites within 12 hours to avoid infection. Antibiotics are required and close monitoring for infection is a necessity.

Rhinoplasty Cost in Houston, Texas
Rhinoplasty cost may vary from surgeon to surgeon and patient to patient. A portion of your rhinoplasty may be covered by insurance if there are some functional issues involved such as a deviated septum, turbinate swelling, or nasal valve collapse. Blepharoplasty or Eyelid Lift
Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is a common procedure I perform to enhance the appearance of the upper and lower eyelids.
An eyelid lift treats that redundant skin of the upper eyelid and crepe wrinkled skin of the lower eyelid. It also addresses that heavy tired appearance and bulging fat one might see around the eyes. That tired appearance around the eyes now becomes a more refreshed and rejuvenated look.
Recovery after blepharoplasty or eyelid lift is about 5-7 days for the upper eyelids and 7-10 days for the lower eyelids.
