Rhinoplasty or nose job for wide base

Rhinoplasty or nose surgery can be performed for someone with a wide base of the nose or wide nostrils. This is a common procedure for patients of ethnic background such as African-Americans, Hispanics, and even some Caucasians. Alar base reduction is performed by making small incisions in the nostril sill and around the ala to remove the excess tissue and narrow the base. These incisions actually heal quite well and scar very little. This can narrow the base of the nose, narrow the nostrils, and also reduce nostril flare.

Dr. Funk is a rhinoplasty specialist in Houston, TX and performs close to 100 nose surgeries per year.

There are many reasons why people consider undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure. Some might not be satisfied with the nose they were born with. Others might be dissatisfied with the way age has changed the shape of their nose, or need treatment from an injury or trauma that has deformed the nasal contour and/or function. Considering a Rhinoplasty surgery is a great way to get rid of this problem.

Nose plastic surgery is done when you want to change the appearance of your nose as you are not happy with it. People often do a nose plastic surgery because they think their nose is too large/small or it has a large plump on it. Another reason why people undergo nose plastic surgery is when they had severe damage by some disease. To get the best results though, you have to take help from the best doctors.
