Natural nose after rhinoplasty

During consultation I hear many of my rhinoplasty patients state they want a natural looking nose. Gone are the days in the 1980’s of the extremely slooped nose with a pinched pointy upturned tip. These noses looked operated and too “done”. Nose job surgery today has evolved to create a softer more aesthetically pleasing nose but at the same time one that does not look operated.

An operated appearing nose may distract from other facial features just as much as a crooked nose or a nose with a hump. Nobody wants a nose that when people look at them they think, “NOSE JOB!”. My female patients typically want a softer nasal bridge with a gentle curve to the nose and slightly upturned tip.

Rhinoplasty is an art that requires much experience and skill. The key is to create a nose that is invisible to the observer so that they pay more attention to the eyes, lips, or hair.
