Rhinoplasty and chin implant

Not only can rhinoplasty help breathing, but it can also provide better balance between the nose and the chin with a chin implant or chin augmentation. Rhinoplasty, or nose job surgery, can create a softer, smaller nose that is more proportionate to the face. However, sometimes, no matter how small the nose is made (and we don’t want to make it too small!), it is in poor harmony or balance with the chin. This is true especially for those patients with recessed chins or jawlines. A chin implant can create better balance between the nose, chin and cheeks and provide an overall improved profile.

A chin implant can be placed at the same time as rhinoplasty surgery. The recovery after chin implant is about 5 days and requires a small incision just under the chin.
