Will Rhinoplasty change my voice?

Many of my Houston rhinoplasty patients frequently ask if rhinoplasty will change their voice. If septoplasty or turbinate reduction is performed at the same time as rhinoplasty, then the nasal airway may improve and this may lead to a less nasally voice. Sinus surgery or opening the windows to the sinuses will create better resonance for the voice and may improve for singing purposes. Overall however, rhinoplasty will not change the voice much.

Dr. Funk is a rhinoplasty surgeon in Houston, TX.
