Prevention is most important when considering cosmetic surgery. Make sure to stop blood thinning medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen at least 10 days prior to surgery. Arnica tablets may help with bruising and swelling. Keeping your head of bed elevated and applying ice during the first 48 hours is also essential. Lower eyelid surgery for lower eyelid bags is a little longer recovery than upper eyelid surgery.
