Does a nose job leave scars?

Nose surgery or rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure to change the shape of the nose. Historically, nose job surgery was only done closed, or with incisions inside the nose. This avoided any external scar. However, today, rhinoplasty is mainly done open with a small incision between the nostrils that leaves very little scar. This scar is almost completely unrecognizable after 6-8 weeks. Otherwise, all the rest of the scars are on the inside of the nose and not seen.
