What does Rhinoplasty Cost?

One of the last questions my rhinoplasty patients ask is what does rhinoplasty cost? Although this is an important factor when deciding on rhinoplasty, cost can vary based on numerous factors.

Every rhinoplasty surgeon may have different fees depending on their level of rhinoplasty expertise, their years of rhinoplasty experience, or the complexity of the rhinoplasty. A surgeon who performs over 200 rhinoplasty procedures per year will definitely have more experience than one who performs 10-20 per year.

Revision rhinoplasty is a more complex procedure that requires careful planning and a high level of experience. Dealing with the scar tissue and denatured cartilage can be quite difficult and an exacting process.

Insurance may cover rhinoplasty if there are portions of the procedure that will need to be performed for functional purposes. A deviated septum procedure such as septoplasty can be put towards insurance. The same goes for turbinate reduction or valve repair during rhinoplasty. Although insurance will not pay for the cosmetic portions of the procedure, having these aspects covered will fray some of your cometic fees (especially for the facility and anesthesia costs).
