A surgeon who performs over 200 rhinoplasty procedures per year will definitely have more experience than one who performs 10-20 per year.

Revision rhinoplasty is a more complex procedure that requires careful planning and a high level of experience. Dealing with the scar tissue and denatured cartilage can be quite difficult and an exacting process.

Insurance may cover rhinoplasty if there are portions of the procedure that will need to be performed for functional purposes. A deviated septum procedure such as septoplasty can be put towards insurance. The same goes for turbinate reduction or valve repair during rhinoplasty.
