Many of our Houston rhinoplasty patients have a history of nasal allergies.  Nasal allergies can lead to symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, post nasal drip and nasal congestion.  The nasal turbinates, specifically, the inferior turbinates can swell due to allergies leading to nasal congestion and post nasal drip.  During rhinoplasty, the nasal turbinates can be reduced in size to help with this nasal congestion and improve this symptoms which may be due to allergies.
