Many of my Houston rhinoplasty patients question whether to have an alar base reduction to reduce their nostril width during rhinoplasty. The width of the bridge of the nose should be 75% of the nostril width. Narrowing the nostrils entails making small incisions at the base and around the edge of the nostrils.
