Rhinoplasty for thin skinned patients requires meticulous attention to detail.  Thin skinned patients will show any sharp edge of cartilage or bone so these need to be softened and smooth.  Sometimes a layer of soft tissue will need to be place over the tip cartilages to soften this and avoid cartilage showing through the skin.  Steroid injections should be avoided on thin skinned rhinoplasty patients post operatively to avoid complications.
