Rhinoplasty or nose job surgery is the second most common cosmetic surgery after breast augmentation. Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure and recovery time after rhinoplasty is typically 8 days.

Bruising after rhinoplastyis dependent on the patient’s age, amount of work done, and patient’s propensity to bleed. In my younger patients, I would say that the majority have minimal bruising which is resolved by day 8. Older patients may still have mild bruising on day 8 but can easily be covered up with makeup.

The average age for rhinoplasty is typically in the late 20’s but can range from 14 to 70!
