Rhinoplasty and Taping

Many of my Houston rhinoplasty patients will ask if continuedtaping after rhinoplastywill improve swelling. I have had patients in the past tape their noses at night and saw very little improvement in swelling. Taping requires firm tape with adhesive. This is not very feasible for most patients each day. I found that time, massage, and possible steroid injection after rhinoplasty are the best remedy for persistent swelling.
