Sculptra After GLP-1

Patient's weight loss journey can also entail significant changes to the face.  It has been noted that the GLP-1 medications not only help patients lose weight and fat, they cause changes in the skin.  The stem cells located in the skin that produce collagen and elastin get turned off with these medications leading to skin that seems like a overstretched rubber band.  This is compounede with the loss of volume in the face leading to skin laxity.
